Client conversations: meet Annette
This post is is the fifth in my new client conversations series. I’m lucky enough to train really diverse and interesting folk with all kinds of training goals, ambitions, professional backgrounds and life experiences. I’ll regularly feature an interview with a client on my blog, so you can get to know them! Meet Annette!
You in 25 words or less
Canberran born and bred (and proud of it!), lived in Madrid for a few years. Two gorgeous daughters and two wonderful grandsons (and a hubbie J). On the countdown to retirement (yeah!!!!!) and thinking about what life will bring in the next stage.
What’s on your playlist right now?
Loving Meg Mac and Florence and the Machine (especially Delilah as it gets my feet hopping!), Chet Faker, Lana Del Rey, JBT, Gotye, Rodriguez etc. So many to choose from!
Why did you decide to start training with me?
I really like your focus on form over numbers (though numbers are there too!), the focus on improving my areas of weakness and your awareness that my limitations/needs are different to those of my training buddy Jac.
What are your big picture training goals?
Get back to my level of fitness before the current job and then keep on improving!
Who inspires you?
Different people inspire me in different circumstances! Both my girls for grabbing the opportunity to go and live overseas on their own. Anyone that has faced adversity with composure – I always think ‘I hope I have your grace in such a difficult circumstance’ (whatever it is)
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into training?
Just do it but find someone that listens to you and adjusts their training program to suit your needs.
