Client conversations: meet Camille

This post is is the sixth in my new client conversations series. I’m lucky enough to train really diverse and interesting folk with all kinds of training goals, ambitions, professional backgrounds and life experiences. I’ll regularly feature an interview with a client on my blog, so you can get to know them! Meet Camille! (Chameleon)

You in 25 words or less.

The least sporty person I know.

What’s on your playlist right now?

A mixture of Jamaican dancehall and true crime podcasts.

Why did you decide to start training with me?

I saw that you were a capoeira teacher, which meant you understood movement, and I saw that you had a website, which meant you understood IT.

But more soecifically, because I wanted to train to reduce shoulder pain, it was important to find someone who valued both flexibility and strength (not only muscle mass or weightloss) and had a real interest and understanding of technique so that the problem got better and not worse.

What are your big picture training goals?

I started training to help a frustrating and longstanding back and shoulder issue, but my focus has since broadened to understanding more about strength and fitness.

Who inspires you?

Original thinkers.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about getting into training?

Do iiiit! My overall happiness increased at least 20% once I learnt to deadlift. If I had a million dollars I would train every day. Until then I recommend to everyone to find an excellent PT like Simon!
